Lovie, our elf, has finished her first year at the Hatley household! And she had a blast, as well as Blythe! We had to set up a calendar and count the days down because it was starting to become emotional trauma on her part, knowing that Lovie would have to leave in a few weeks! Me on the other hand didn't know if I had a few more weeks of creativity in me?!
Lovie left a letter letting B and E know that in the red bag where letters from Santa!
Fishing for goldfish
Lovie was on Blake's bad list...wasting toilet paper was not as funny as we thought it was!
Is cooking Lovie morbid?!
Adding to E's picture
Lovie left a message for B to press play on my phone, where an elf video of B and E was created!
Tea party
Or cocktails?!
After the trauma of Blake not liking the toilet paper, B came out and turned around to Lovie and said, "Daddy is not going to be happy!" Then started to take it off...
Hanging right above B when she woke up...Lovie can be a little creepy!
Looks a little like she is being crucified...sorry Jesus!
Not sure how to interpret this? Hugging or the bump and grind?!
Hiding in the flowers
I mustache you a question...are you ready for me to leave?
The finale...12 balloons and
a sign from Lovie, Santa, and the reindeer! We had such a great time! A Lovie is missed but B is not traumatized, so we will see her next year!
So we started Elf on a Shelf...if I knew the work that went into this before we started...that elf would have stayed in the box and returned to B&N.
Opening the box! We named our "African American" elf...Lovie. Blake didn't realize that you could pick gender and ethnicity...he just grabbed a box...but we are learning about all cultures!
