Over the weekend

This past weekend we decided to be adventurous and actually get out of the house!
This is Daddy's father's day present! Why isn't daddy wearing it, you ask? Well, I screamed bloody murder when I was on daddy's back, so we decided to try it on mommy...I like this so much better...why are you so tired mommy?!
We also decided to go to Critter Fest and I was able to pet a duckling and a chick...more like grab them by the neck but I tried my best to be gentle.
Fish! I love fish!
Come to me!
I have a great profile...don't I?!
Pooh Bah, I want a boat just like this, but please add a back to it!
Did they catch these in the Gulf?!
Daddy is showing me turtles!
Grandpa Keith is showing me alligators...what happens when you put your finger next to them...can you show me?

Then last, but not least, we saw a tiger show! Did you know that their are more tigers in captivity than there are in the wild? Pretty sad, huh?

Just hanging out!

Not a whole lot going on here. Just feeling better and hanging out with my family!

Grandpa Keith is in town and I really like him this time! But he says I'm heavy...should that improve my self-esteem?!

I've also been drawing a lot at school, so Mommy bought me some sidewalk chalk that I can finally use on my chalkboard. Now, if I can just keep it out of my mouth...but it taste so good!

This is my new Elmo chair that Pooh Mah bought for me! I am obviously enjoying it while I watch "The Best of Elmo"! Great Aunt Toni, do you recognize the shirt I'm wearing?! Thanks again!

Mommy let me play in the sink after the couch ran out and hit me in the nose. Stupid couch! But I feel better now that I can play with my rocks in the sink!

I love water!

Mommy at 24 weeks!

My brother is in there! Hurry, Hurry! I can't wait to meet you! Now if Daddy would just hurry up with a name!

It's a...

BOY!!!

Here is our first photo of my baby brother! If we weren't sure it was a boy...the picture is worth a thousand words! And if you can't tell, this is a "between the legs" shot!
Happy Father's Day Daddy! This is what I made for Daddy at school. My Daddy is special!

15 month well check

Well, I went in for my 15 month well check, but I wasn't so well! I woke up with swollen red eyes that were dripping with green goo! Nice, right?! And can you believe it, they still gave me a shot! The doctor said I had an infection in both eyes and that my body would fight it! That's right...I'm a fighter! Stats: still 99th percentile for head circumference and height, but only the 90th percentile for weight! Slimmin' down!
Here I am the day before I got sick! Pretty in purple and yellow!
Bandaid loves my hugs!
Blue tries to get up every time, but she will learn to love them!
Here I am sick as a dog! See those pretty blue eyes...they are in a circle of red!
But still in good spirits! No school today!
Bonnie, just be still...this won't hurt a bit!
This video shows me figuring out a new sensory stimulus!

Mini Matador!

Here is an update from my teachers at school! We are having so much fun!

Mini Matador Update

It’s difficult to believe we are already halfway through our summer program! Sarah and I have had so much fun being with your children and watching them explore, play and enjoy themselves. We feel the kids have adjusted so well to our classroom, and we look forward to the next three weeks of fun together.

Over the last two weeks, we have explored with shaving cream, splashed in water, taken care of our baby dolls, practiced putting lotion on our bodies, explored with containers and boxes, built with blocks (and knocked them over!), watched birds from the portico, cooked and stirred in the kitchen center, practiced putting on socks and shoes, celebrated the days with music and dance parties, and vacuumed the carpet again and again! And these are just a few examples of what keeps our tiny friends busy throughout their time here.

We have also welcomed 16 lab students into our classroom – they are doing a wonderful job and Sarah and I love watching them enjoy themselves as they get to know and interact with your children. Always feel free to introduce yourself and talk with them as you drop off/pick up.

And the sensory experience that remains to be most popular is…drum roll…WATER! All things water! In addition to splashing and playing on Fridays, we have also washed our cars, washed the baby dolls, and played in the sprinklers on the playground. The kids have a blast with water!

A water/mud experience occurred spontaneously when we came outside to find the sprinklers on! Many of our friends enjoyed the water first-hand, while a few looked on from a drier location:
(we eventually just 86ed the clothes!)

Mommy is so impressed by this! I am sitting on my own chair at the table. Still lack of spoon (it is there though), but getting there!

Family Scare!

My best friend, Bandaid, was taken to the vet today where they did a round of tests. Yesterday, while we were out in the backyard, her back legs stopped working and she couldn't get up. Mommy was very scared! After about 10 seconds, she just hopped up and walked in the house like nothing happened.

Turns out (if you can see in the x-ray) all her spinal discs have great space between them except for the one with the arrow. This one is pushing together and is calcifying at the bottom, causing a nerve to be pinched. When the nerve is being pinched, her back legs go numb/ with shots of pain. Sadly, there is nothing to do about it, but the doctor said she will live a long life and it will only bother her sometimes. But isn't this a really cool picture of Bandaid's guts!
My best friend and I snuggling on the rug! I love you Bandaid!

My first day of school!

I had my first day of summer school today and Mommy dressed me to impress!

Wearing my dress courtesy of Pooh Mah and Nike shoes courtesy of Grama Kama!
Who could deny I'm cute...I'll drive the boys wild!
Arrived at school and am exploring the atmosphere!
Look Mommy, a dog and a ball...my favorite things! I like this place!

Then the nice teachers filled out a form to tell my Mommy and Daddy how my day went...They were so proud!
